Why Colin teaches kettlebells
The Swiss Army knife
of your home training.
Strength. Conditioning. Control. A kettlebell gives you a versatile tool for challenging your body in a small amount of space.
After 20 years in the fitness industry, it’s still my first choice for a simple, effective approach to training—especially conditioning.
My approach to minimum effective dose: focus on a few useful movements, practise them consistently and progress when you’re ready. Make your training time count.

Why learn the swing and Turkish get-up?
Power. Strength. Control.
Skills you can keep for life.
A kettlebell takes up little space and gives you plenty of room to progress. Learn these two complementary movements and you have a practical foundation for building strength, conditioning and confidence at home.

01 / Kettlebell swing
Build powerful hips.
Train your conditioning.
The swing teaches you to produce power through your hips while keeping your trunk braced. Your glutes and hamstrings drive the bell; your grip and whole body work together to control it.
- Practise explosive effort: learn the timing, tension and relaxation behind a powerful hip hinge.
- Build work capacity: repeated, well-controlled sets can challenge your breathing and conditioning.
- Make training practical: use one compact tool, with the load, repetitions and rest matched to your level.
What Colin helps you learnYour setup, hinge, timing, breathing and controlled finish. Build consistent technique before adding more weight or work.

02 / Turkish get-up
Get stronger through
controlled movement.
The get-up takes you from the floor to standing and back, one deliberate step at a time. You learn to support a load while your body moves through different positions.
- Train shoulder and trunk control: practise keeping the bell stable as you move around it.
- Challenge balance and coordination: connect your upper and lower body through each transition.
- Build confidence getting up and down: learn manageable stages, then put them together at a load you can control.
What Colin helps you learnYour positions, transitions and control. Start with the version you can perform well and earn each progression.
Learn the skill. Repeat it well. Then progress. These movements give you a foundation you can keep developing as your ability grows.
How we work towards excellent results
Be coachable.
Make your practice count.
You do not need to arrive with perfect technique. Bring a willingness to learn, ask questions and act on the feedback. Colin teaches the skills; your consistent practice turns that coaching into progress.
Listen. Ask. Understand.
Learn why the details matter. Be open to changing a habit and working at the level that is right for you.
Put feedback into action.
Practise the specific adjustments Colin gives you. Share your videos and questions so the next piece of coaching builds on your actual movement.
Build quality over time.
Show up consistently, recover between sessions and progress when your technique is ready. Better repetitions come before heavier kettlebells.
“I can teach you the movements and show you what to change. If you are willing to listen, practise and apply the feedback, we have the ingredients to work towards excellent results together.”
Progress is individual. Your starting point, consistency, training load and recovery all play a part.

Your coach stays in the picture
Keep improving
when you get home.
Your one month of Facebook group video feedback starts after your workshop. Post your swing and get-up videos, ask questions and use Colin’s feedback in your next practice session.
Whether your goal is to get stronger, improve your conditioning or feel more confident training on your own, you’ll have a clear skill to practise and a coach to help you refine it.
Use kettlebells you already own. Any equipment purchase is optional.
Facebook access is needed. Group video feedback is included; private sessions and personalized programming are separate services. No automatic renewal.
